BEST ACTOR
Colin Firth in The King's Speech.
Called it. Still haven't seen it. Still don't really want to.
SUPPORTING ACTOR
Christian Bale in The Fighter
Called it again. 2 for 2.
And yet again... still haven't seen it.

BEST ACTRESS
Natalie Portman in Black Swan
Called that shit too son! 3 for 3.
Saw the film. Really kinda grossed me out and pissed me off. Whatever. She still won and I still called it.

SUPPORTING ACTRESS
Melissa Leo in The Fighter
I called the wrong girl from The Fighter. Close. 3 for 4. Still 75%. Not bad for having not seen even half of these films.

ANIMATED FEATURE
Toy Story 3
Yup. Called that one. But why was it only up against 2 other films? Was there really only 3 animated features last year? 4 for 5.

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY
Wally Pfister for Inception
I clearly said: "Tough one. Just hope its not Wally Pfister (although I completely respect him) for "Inception". Obviously the Academy wasn't listening. Win some, ya lose some. 4 for 6. Still not too shabby.

DIRECTING
Tom Hooper for The King's Speech
I believed the hype and chose David Fincher. Alas, David Fincher failed.
4 for 7. Starting to slip.

DOCUMENTARY FEATURE
Inside Job
Didn't see it. Didn't call it. I lost all around on this one. But I did read a lot about the winner and really keen to catch it.
Doesn't change the fact that I got it wrong.
4 for 8. Officially slipped.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM
In A Better World
Was really hoping Dogtooth would have taken it but on Hind Mezaina's advice, I voted correctly.
Score one with the help from a friend.
5 for 9. Starting the comeback.

BEST PICTURE
The King's Speech
Again, I believed the hype. The Social Network sucked. And I fell for everyone else's chitter chatter. I should have none better. At least Trent Reznor didn't walk away empty handed.
Ending the night with a dismal score of 5 out of 10. 50%. Disgraceful.

And that concludes another year of pointless movie awards.
Hope to see you next year for more pointless banter.
Good night and good luck.
