The anticipation and hype online was really getting me excited.
But I knew that I would never see it.
Then the show got so popular, they brought it to New York.
I was super pumped about it but again.... knew I wouldnt see it.
BUT because of its popularity, it was held over longer and we were able to catch the second to last show of the run!!!!
We bought tickets that were practically ON the stage.
The one hour wait in the theatre was just about killing us....
and then it happened.
The lights went out. Pee Wee came on stage.
And an hour and a half of complete thrills, laughter, excitement, and visual mastery exploded in front of our eyes.
It was the most incredible thing I have ever seen.
Every character from the show was there. The set was exactly the way I remember it from tv.
Everything was perfect.
I felt like I didnt blink for the entire thing.
The Pee-wee Herman Show Montage
What an amazing day!
Now we still have Lauryn Hill to look forward to tonight!
But I dont know how Lauryn will ever be able to top Pee Wee.
I must seem like a stalker now... I emailed you yesterday to say Hello and then today I decided to look at your blog while eating my lunch.
ReplyDeleteI went to see Pee Wee on Sunday night for the last showing! I was so looking forward to it and bought my tickets months ago. It was killer. He hasn't lost it. We were 4 rows from the stage and I literally teared up when he came out (gay, I know).
We went around to the stage door after the show to get pics and my playbill autographed. He wasn't signing, but did chat with the crowd for quite awhile. One of the best shows I've seen recently!
Happy New Year!!
