Day of shopping starts with a stop at Wajdi's friends "vintage shop" near Monaut - no real vintage - loads of local artist made jewelry - walk downtown - tour bombed out movie theatre
Lunch at cafe - bad headache - walk to Gemmayzah - check out shops - 640,000 LBP in The Union - bought a shirt, 3 presents for Lauren, and 3 Scrambled Eggs cds - found Papercup Bookstore in Mar Mikael - INCREDIBLE! Must visit - walk to Paul for bottled water lunch - back to Monroe for napWake up at 830pm - heavy armed military presence - tanks, machine guns, UN truck convoy - meet Fad and friends - dinner at Roadster (greasy, tasteless American diner) - back to Gemmayzah - bar up the steps - upstairs - whiskey and shots ensue - walk to Green Door - "Williamsburg of Beirut" - decent music - MJ dance moves
Shit faced - get back to Monroe - JP fights with hotel reception - up to bed - no parts of that - lights out.I'm gonna feel this in the morning.
