NY Tour Guide - Chronicle 6

After the students were done directing (like pros!!!) they went off to get tacos. I settled for a soup, sandwich, and walk home instead. I got into that comfortable state of decompression where you dont want to leave the hotel again.... but I forged on.
Took the students to see another short films program. This one had some heavy hitters and off spring of heavy hitters as the filmmakers. Max Hoffman (son of Dustin Hoffman), Kirsten Dunst, and Martin Scorsese's niece all had films in the program.
Kirsten and Dustin were there in attendance as well.
This is what it would look like if Dustin Hoffman were the devil on my shoulder....
The films were excellent. Really great work.
Max Hoffman's "Athena" was my favorite, telling the story of a man who owns a small store in the middle of no where while his daily routine is disrupted by two unlikely visitors (one is a chicken haha).

We left just as the premiere of "Ticked Off Trannys With Knives" loaded in.
Witnessed a hilarious Tranny fight on the red carpet and then we were off.

Today is the last day of the actual workshop.
The students will be working with shot lists and Ruba Nada's DP to perfect their vision of at least some scene from their scripts.
Tonight we get to attend the premiere screening of "Just Like Me" by stand up comedian Ahmed Ahmed followed by an after party with a stand up performance.
Quite exciting stuff.
