Even though we had a great night last night when we arrived, today was technically my mom's first day in Doha.
So we did what everyone does..... slept in til noon. (Well, at least Lauren and I did.... apparently my mom got up at like 7am)
When we finally mustered up the strength to get out of bed, get showered, and hit the road.... we had worked up quite the appetite.
The type of appetite that only a massive meal at the McCarthy's could satisfy.
We feasted and sat in the 70+ degree sun shine for a few hours.
After a brief stop at home to change, we headed to the souq to wander around a bit.
We met Lauren and went over to "Pineapple" for sheesha and tea.
Hend popped in and shared some of her hilarious (mis)adventures.
Then we headed over to Isfahan Gardens for a massive meal.
And who was there????
The Polaroid Man. Of course.
After dinner, we walked around some more. We tried to track down the new home of the souq falcons but to no avail. Then we headed over to scope the camel pen before heading home.
The skyline looked great so we pulled over to snap some photos.
Thanks Asian Cup for making the city look cool again.
