Saffron and Air Force Ones (Please and Thank You)

Tonight was soooooooo much fun.
I knew it would be after talking to Mrs. McCarthy on the phone (hahahah classic).

Lauren picked us up around 8 (i think ???) and we rolled over to the Souk Waqif
It's somewhat like a modernized flea market that is only modern in the architecture. The goods they sell range greatly. From fancy leather fanny packs to fake Chuck Taylors.
They have everything you would never need but will probably buy for the sake of buying something. Personally, I am going for the desert fox skin.
There was this great old man with an old school Polaroid who took our photo for 15 riyals.
Next we headed over to her favorite shawarma spot. AMAZING. So tasty.
Then we headed to the first of 2 shisha spots where we met her brother ("Tail Balls") and 2 friends.
After jumping some curbs and off-roading in the Jeep we went to her favorite shisha place for round 2. She told us that it was ghetto beforehand.... and she wasnt kidding.
BUT it was absolutely PERFECT.
We played a game called "Tricks" for hours.
*As seen in the photo above.... Lauren was OBVIOUSLY cheating*

Tea bags and cigarette butts littered the floor and the yells of other players echoed throughout.

Then I spotted something I couldnt believe.....
A dude wearing a PHILLIES hat!!!!!
Come to find out he went to Drexel. (What?!?!?!)

Everyone was super nice and we had a great time.
Something tells me we are going to end up there again some point soon.
Needless to say.....Lauren saved the day.
I cant thank her enough for helping us "wangle" our way through the night.
