Gettin Dhow-n Birthday Style

Let me start by saying Lauren is the best girlfriend ever.
With that said, I can TRY to explain the excellent birthday celebration she manufactured for me today.... a dhow trip/party.

Last night we loaded up on bbq food and floats. Burgers, dog, sausages, watermelons, and enough rings and lilos to save all the people who drown when the Titanic sank.
We went to bed early and woke up even earlier (7am).
Jumped in the car and headed back to the McCarthy home to load everything up and sort the last few things before heading out.
We got to the dhow around 1045am and waited til everyone showed up.
Around 20 friends came and we sailed off passed the M.I.A. toward Al Saflia Island.
After about 15-20 minutes the boat anchored and we were jumping off the roof (around 20 feet I am guessing) of the dhow into the gorgeous blue water.
We cooked loads of food, floated around, jumped off the boat more times than I can count, took the little Whaler out, and lived it up all day long.
It was truly incredible. The most relaxing and at the same time, fun day I could have ever asked for.
Around 5pm we came back in and headed home to wash the boat and regroup a bit.
We watched all the videos Dale shot with his GoPro camera and looked at some hilariously ugly fisheye photos of us. (will post soon)
