The Grammys - Who Cares?

Normally, I dont care at all.
But this year.... I did.
There were loads of actual good bands up for awards and surprisingly, a lot of them won!!!

RECORD OF THE YEAR: Arcade Fire
I called this the day the record came out. Its incredible. Every single track is amazing.

ALTERNATIVE ALBUM OF THE YEAR AND BEST ROCK PERFORMANCE
: The Black Keys
The duo has polished their blues/fuzz/rock sound and dropped on of the best records of the year. I think it could have given Arcade Fire a run for their money for best all around.
Still.... what the hell is "Alternative" music?!?!?!

BEST HISTORICAL RECORD
: The Beatles
I mean really.... who is better? But what exactly is this catergory? Ehh.... doesnt matter. Any reason to give the greatest band ever another award is a good reason.

BEST SOLO ROCK VOCAL PERFORMANCE: Paul McCartney for "Helter Skelter," a cut from his live album Good Evening New York City.

Other notable winners included Neil Young for Best Rock Song of the Year and Jeff Beck picking up 3 awards.
The thing I was most excited about was Bob Dylan's performance with The Avett Brothers and Mumford & Sons.

Overall, a good year for good rock music.
