This last week has been filled with all things music video.
Jackie Salloum (director of Slingshot Hip Hop) and I taught a music video workshop for kids 18 and under. We gave them an overall history of music videos as well as a crash course in how to make one. But not just anyone.... a music video for Nitin Sawhney. He kindly gave us a track to work with and we challenged these youngsters with writing, developing, pitching, and shooting a music video in just 2 days.
They rose to the challenge and got some really great footage.
The videos will be edited this coming week and finished in time for a possible screening at the 2010 Doha Tribeca Film Festival.
