The nose situation has improved and become more confusing/annoying than ever.
THE PLUS SIDE
-The swelling is way down
-The bruising is nearly gone
-The pain is limited
-Lauren has been incredibly helpful and supportive through it all, looking out for what's best for me.
THE NOT-SO-PLUS SIDE
-I still need (at least one) surgery.... one to fix the inside and then possibly another to fix the outside
-Every time I go to have a check up or second opinion, they tell me there is another part that is broken..... a part they didnt notice before.
-With my Crete holiday coming in less than a week, I have no time to have the surgery done (and heal) before leaving. So that pushes it back to when I return on the 12th or so.
That raises all kinds of new "what to do" problems.....
Eid being the first. Surgeons and doctors and pretty much everyone in Doha are celebrating Eid and no one returns to work until the 15th.
I have a MAJOR project that starts on the 19th which would leave me with 4 days to recover from something that normally takes around 10 days to heal completely.
Also, having waiting so long could effect the second surgery to fix the shape of my nose. The surgeon cant guarntee that he will be able to re-fracture my nose after such a long time.
But really, this is the least of my concerns right now. If I can breathe and not be in pain, that is really enough for me at this point.
The whole situation has become insanely annoying and nerve racking.
I cant wait for it to be over.
