Treasure Hunting, Time Traveling

The anticipation was building all morning. What is this antique shop that I have never been to with my Mom? What would they have? Same old dusty crap? Or something really special?
The answers came around 11:30am.
"Market Street Treasures"

I had a good feeling as soon as we walked in and I looked to the left.
"Time Traveler Record Exchange"
An absolute treasure trove of old records. Most in nearly mint condition. Lots and lots of beautiful 45's in original sleeves. Almost all of the records were early early rock and roll stuff.
Loads of Beatles and Elvis (of course). But not the typical Elvis and Beatles.
GOOD Beatles and Elvis. And too much for my senses at times.
I probably could have spend 2 G's in there if I bought all the Beatles 45's that I didn't have.
But I showed some refrain and bought 100 bucks worth of other records. haha

Once I had spent about 30 minutes going through the bins and almost caused my mother serious bladder issues, we searched around the rest of the place.
Each little section was a different seller and each had such different things.
Found some really rad little things.
Once we had exhausted most of our ability to huff dust, we headed to the check out.
All in all (with a discount I got for buying a shit ton of records), I spent $98. Well spent if you ask me.
Here are my treasures to add to my collection:
A sweet old Pabst Blue Ribbon beer tray....A patch from the 70's that says "Try It You'll Like It"....
A few surprises for good little girls and boys hahaha (may or may not involve tin.. wink wink)..
And then to the records. Lots of little gems.

  2. loving that sew on patch! sorry i've been playing hard to get with meet up fest 2009 [that is, if we ever get to it before 2009?!] but it's finals week = handbag mania. looks like a pinata filled with leather scraps, scissors, thread, glue, and rivets got shot in every room of my apartment. after this week, life should slow down and ill be a normal functioning human again! [hopefully] ha...
