I was in New York in May, wandering around Soho aimlessly just like I did for 4+ years of my life, when I stumbled across a store front displaying the robots from Spike Jonze's new short film "I'm Here".
I sat down on the hollowed sidewalk and just stared. Something about them spoke to me. There seemed to be so much life behind the eyes in the old PC-esq heads. They seemed to have feeling in their eyes and the way their bodies stood. Without thinking, I called Lauren. Something about seeing them made me feel really happy. I cant quite explain it now, but I felt like they had something to say. Something important.
I could have never imagined how important what they had to say really was.
Not until I got to see the film.
