    Hi Justin,

On behalf of XL Recordings and Ratatat, we would kindly ask you not to post copies of "LP4" on your site (or any non-preview tracks from the forthcoming album by Ratatat - street date 7th June).

We do appreciate that you are fans of / are promoting Ratatat, but the label and artist would greatly appreciate your co-operation in removing your links to the pirate files in question.

Thank you for respecting the artist's and label’s wishes and, if you / your readers want good quality, non-pirated, preview tracks, then a full length version of "Party with Children" is available for fans and bloggers to link to / post / host etc at promo.xlrecordings.com/ratatat_party_with_children.mp3 ... .. for further details of the new album, upcoming previews, on-line promotions, videos and 2010 shows, check-out the official site at www.ratatatmusic.com, as well as the artist's MySpace at www.myspace.com/ratatatmusic and YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/ratatatmusic ... .. and keep an eye on these official sources for details of further news, preview material and on-line promotions.

    With Thanks & Regards,

    WEB SHERIFF

  2. Hi Justin,

On behalf of the High Wire Act, we kindly ask you to not promote our track "Clouds". Obviously, we are retarded fuckheads, and haven't accepted the reality of the 21st century concerning music sharing.

While we appreciate you being a fan of The High Wire Act, we'd rather come on to your blog and look like total douchebags and tell you to take it down.

Also, check out the High Wire Act out on Myspace. And YouTube. And Facebook. And keep an eye out for further news, and "legal" online promotions.

    Thanks,

    HWA WEB PATROL

  3. Really though....
What is the point of a passive aggressive blog comment when you have already disabled the download link???
I dont really understand the justification of doing such a thing when either:
    A) You didnt even take the time to realize that it wasnt a link to download a single track from an unreleased record and it was actually a link to a one hour, no one cares podcast
    OR
    B) You actually downloaded the podcast, making you JUST AS GUILTY for downloading "pirated" music

An explanation is not needed here...
just a simple "Thank you for spreading the word about a record that will sell about 500 "legal" copies".

Feel free to post that when you get a second away from your busy schedule of digging for no name, no follower blogs on the internet.

    xo
