Got on the plane around 8am Doha Time....
Arrived at the Smyth around 6pm New York Time (ballin spot on West Broadway and Chambers). Checked in....got this (*living room not pictured haha).....
Took a short intermission for everyone to settle and met for a nice big dinner at my favorite Japanese spot downtown, Tataki.
Everyone braved the NY cold and we walked home, stopping to show them one of the most iconic film locations standing in Tribeca; The Ghostbusters fire house. First dose of real NY filmmaking history.
Dropped everyone back to the hotel for a jet lag induced slumber and headed to The Bush to link up with CP and Brit. Chilled for a minute and caught up, then headed back to the city for a night cap and LIVE TELEVISED baseball (God, I miss that about living in the states).
Slept like a rock and woke up early.
Fought a few mysterious charges on my credit card and walked out the door.
Busted a left, walked one block, cross the street, and was ready for my usual NY breakfast.
The ever delicious NY deli bacon, egg, and cheese bagel.
Best way to start a day in the city.
The air is brisk but our filmmakers are eager.
We have a brunch with TFF at 1 followed by a tour guided session by me through Manhattan from 2-6. Then, a TFF dinner.
What's in store for the night? Who knows.
But this IS New York.... so the possibilities are endless.
