What a great sleepless weekend!!! Got to share it with (nearly) all of my favorite people in this world and have the time of our lives.
We got to NJ cramped and ready to party.
It started almost instantly.
The Taxidermists had a quick rehearsal (minus Jason.... at this point, still didnt even know if he'd make it) and then my parents showed up with enough food to feed all the drunks for damn near the whole night. *Thanks again Mom and Dad
My Dad also brought a bottle of my favorite American Honey by Wild Turkey and we vowed to kill the whole bottle while we played.
That was no problem AT ALL! haha
We started the set with Can We Move and sloppily made our way through all the old songs, ending with Addictive Love.
The entire set was chaos mixed with violence and laughter.
We successfully beat the shit out of each other as well as break 2 PA systems, a cymbal, maybe some drums, and quite possibly my arm in the process.
Somehow, through all of it..... we had an AMAZING time.
Probably the best Taxidermists set ever.
Thanks Jason, Markle, Brit, Freund and Rhett for making this happen. No matter how much I silently regretted the decision to do it..... it really paid off in the end.
Perfect way to close that chapter of my life before starting a whole new one in a few days.
Christian shot the show and is planning on cutting a video of it all soon....
so dont fret.....
If you missed me diving into the drums, Rhett beating me senseless with the microphone, Brit covering "Smell Yo Dick", our Freund vs Markle 2 drum set showdown, or Christian joining yet another band as the unofficial member..... you'll see it soon.
Then I spent the night at my parents place. After an amazing meal, I fell asleep while we watched Snatch and didn't wake up until this morning when my Mom woke me up to say goodbye. Really sad but happy at the same time.
I know they are both very proud and supportive of what I am doing.
Now, Mom..... get moving on that passport application so you can come out and visit me!! hahaa
xo
Now, I am back in Brooklyn sitting in the shell of my old apartment waiting for the landlord to come check the place out.
There are already ghosts in this place.
God help the next tenant of 2R.
*Pictures and videos to come when people send them to me
