How can there be this much music??? (The Modern State of Hip Hop)

The Internet is huge. Like huge huge.
And there is no other platform that reaches anywhere close to as many people.
Hence, the artists new ability to reach a large potential audience for their music.
This has not only revolutionized the music industry but also single handily destroyed the music industry.
Trillions, Billions, Quadzillions, Bajillions of songs and music videos on the Internet.
And I'd say, in my very unscientific opinion) that more than half of those are hip hop, or should I say "rap" instead.
I think its pretty safe to say that no other genre of music is so heavy represented .
Thus, there is A LOT of crap out there.
And sometimes you find the "crap" that is so weirdly infectious that it moves from being just "crap" and becomes "good shit".....And rarely, but it does happen, it becomes "classic shit".
*The more and more I read that over, I realize that my generation has somehow managed to shift the English languages so far that we refer to/judge things based completely on a scale of defecation. Hmm. What a strange and repulsive revelation.
Anyway....
And then we feel the need to share that "classic shit" with everyone we know.
Even people that completely dislike rap, enjoy these videos.
They are just so bizarre in one way or another. The video could be ridiculous. The lyrics could be outrageous. The beat could be total garbage. There can be cameos from people with 1 in a million diseases. (Really... see Die Antwoord's video for proof)
Yet still somehow, the song becomes a legend.

Which brings me to the ultimate point of this long ramble.
I would like to share with you, my loyal reader, 3 of my favorite "classic shit" videos...

This song became an instant classic with everyone who has seen/heard it. I even went as far to BUY, Yes.... BUY.... this track on iTunes .99 well spent my friend.

This video is extremely bizarre to me. This South African rapper is for real. Like for real for real. And his crew, Zef Side are equally as bizarre as he is. Watch this video after the jump for proof.
